Assessing and Assuring the Quality of Assessment
Levels 3 and 4 Qualifications in Assessing and Assuring the Quality of Assessment are designed for people wanting to assess qualifications or carry out internal Quality Assurance.
These qualifications have replaced the previous qualifications the ‘Assessing and Verification Awards’ (A1, V1) which in turn replaced the original Training and Development Assessing and Verification qualifications (D32, 33, 34 and 35)
These qualifications are for you if:
- You would like to become an Assessor, assessing competence in the work environment, vocational achievement or both
- You are already a qualified Assessor and wish to work in an Internal Quality Assurance role
- You are working in Internal Quality Assurance and wish to lead the Internal Quality Assurance process and practice.
Practising Assessors, Moderators and Internal Verifiers who hold a different qualification and now wish to assess or quality assure the our qualifications must use the current criteria contained within these qualifications. It is imperative that these people refer to the information in the Delivering our qualifications - assessment and internal quality assurance guidance.
Practising Assessors and Internal Quality Assurers who hold a recognised qualification as described in the Delivering our qualifications - assessment and internal quality assurance guidance do not have to retake these current qualifications however they must show that they have updated their knowledge and practice to reflect the revised standards.
