What does this qualification cover?

This qualification will support learners to develop the knowledge and skills required to work in a range of clinical healthcare support settings.

Topics covered include assisting in the administration of medicine, supporting individuals with day-to-day activities and understanding mental health and well-being.

Who is it suitable for?

All those wishing to work or who are working in a clinical healthcare setting.

What are the entry requirements?

You should be at least 16 years old. We do not set any other entry requirements but colleges and training providers may have their own guidelines.

How many credits are required to complete it?

The Diploma requires 50 credits.

How is it assessed?

It will be assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a portfolio of evidence, practical demonstrations and assignments.

Do you need to be working to take this qualification?

Yes, you will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as you need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.

How long does it take to complete?

You can usually complete it in 12 months.

What related qualifications can you progress to?

The Level 3 Diploma in Clinical Healthcare Support, specialist health qualifications or related health apprenticeships.
