Health and Social Care Apprenticeships

Now is a great time to think about taking an Apprenticeship. There are more opportunities than ever before for those looking to work in the Health and Social Care sector, and Apprenticeships in this area can lead to employment in a variety of settings upon completion.

As an apprentice you are paid as you learn. You will go through a structured training programme that teaches all aspects of working in the relevant setting, working alongside experienced staff to learn the skills you need. Our Centres are able to offer Health and Social Care Apprenticeships to anyone who is over 16, living in England and not in full-time education.

Below is a list of health and social care apprenticeships which comprise of either a framework (where they are still open) or standard. As part of the Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care learners will take the following qualifications:

Framework: Higher Apprenticeship in Care Leadership and Management

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (England)**

**Only the three Adult Social Care Pathways of the Level 5 Diploma can be used in the Higher Level Apprenticeship

Standard: Adult Care Worker

  • *Level 2 Diploma in Care
  • Level 1 English and Mathematics Functional Skills/GCSE

Standard: Lead Adult Care Worker

  • *Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
  • Level 2 English and Mathematics Functional Skills/GCSE

Standard: Lead Practitioner in Adult Care

  • *Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care
  • Level 2 English and Mathematics Functional Skills/GCSE

Standard: Leader in Adult Care

  • *Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care
  • Level 2 English and Mathematics Functional Skills/GCSE
