Health and Social Care Apprenticeships

Now is a great time to think about taking an Apprenticeship. There are more opportunities than ever for those looking to work in care. If you want to work with the elderly, people who are disabled or those with learning disabilities, Apprenticeships in this area can lead to secure employment upon completion.

As an apprentice you are paid as you learn. You will go through a structured training programme that teaches all aspects of caring for adults, working alongside experienced staff to learn the skills you need. Our Centres can offer Apprenticeships to anyone who is over 16, living in England and not in full-time education.

Health and Social Care Apprenticeship Trailblazer update

In light of the reforms to Apprenticeship funding, an employer-led Trailblazer group are currently finalising the development of new Health and Social Care Apprenticeship Standards at levels 2 to 5. These Standards relate to specific roles in adult care settings, such as Adult Social Care Worker and Senior Adult Social Care Worker, and after a period of running in tandem will replace the current Apprenticeship Frameworks in Health and Social Care. Further information about Apprenticeship Standards can be found on the Trailblazer Apprenticeship Standards page of the website.
