Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (England)

We would like to inform you that 4 pathways within the NCFE CACHE Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (England) 601/4312/5 will be withdrawn. Please see below for further details.

The below pathways will be withdrawn for new registrations on 31 August 2018:

  • Adults’ Management (601/4312/5/AM)
  • Adults’ Advanced Practice (601/4312/5/AAP)
  • Adult’s Residential Management (601/4312/5/ARM)
  • Children and Young People’s Residential Management (601/4312/5/CYPRM)

The Adult pathways listed above will be replaced by the new Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care due to launch in September 2018. Please look out for further communications regarding the new Level 5 qualification and related information around the apprenticeship framework and the new standard.

We are delighted to share that the below Children and Young People pathways will remain live and available for registrations:

  • Children and Young People’s Management (601/4312/5/CYPM)
  • Children and Young People’s Advanced Practice (601/4312/5/CYPAP)

The following units will be withdrawn from the above 2 pathways as they are no longer relevant to the Children and Young People pathways:

  • Understand the process and experience of dementia (J/601/3538)
  • Providing independent advocacy to adults (R/502/3298)
  • Provide support to adults who have experienced harm or abuse (J/504/2205)
  • Understand the factors affecting older people (D/504/2243)
  • End of life and dementia care (F/503/8704)
  • Lead and manage practice in dementia care (D/504/2212)

Stand-alone unit programmes

The below stand-alone unit programmes will be withdrawn on the 31 August 2018:

  • Providing independent advocacy to adults (R/502/3298/UNITCACHE)
  • Provide support to adults who have experienced harm or abuse (J/504/2205/UNITCACHE)
  • Understand the factors affecting older people (D/504/2243/UNITCACHE)
  • End of life and dementia care (F/503/8704/UNITCACHE)
