Updates to the CACHE reasonable adjustments process and associated documentation

Following an incremental review of the CACHE reasonable adjustments process and associated documentation, we have made some important changes which we would like to make you aware of.

Our aim was to align CACHE and NCFE centre delegated adjustments wherever possible and to ensure more consistency in our approach to handling reasonable adjustments.

As a result of this review, we have added an updated CACHE permissions table to the Guidance on Accessing Reasonable Adjustments(Appendix C) available on both the NCFE and CACHE websites. This provides details for CACHE qualifications on which reasonable adjustments are centre delegated and which require an application for approval.  We have also taken the decision to retire the CACHE Good Practice Guide.

Please refer to the updated Guidance on Accessing Reasonable Adjustments and Reasonable Adjustment and Special Consideration policy for more information on these changes.

A further annual review of our Reasonable Adjustment and Special Considerations policy will take place again in September 2018, in line with any changes made by JCQ to their Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments regulations.
