Portfolio Updates

We have created this page to support you in understanding how a number of our qualifications will be affected as part of our efforts to realign and simplify our product offer. These changes will be applicable from 1st September 2017.

This page has been split into two sections:

  • Qualifications being transitioned to the NCFE portfolio with changes being made to their Qualification Reference Number (QRN)
  • Qualifications being launched into the CACHE portfolio from the NCFE portfolio.

The following will apply to all qualifications being transitioned.

Certification

Upon achieving these qualifications, learners will be issued with an NCFE branded certificate, enabling them to benefit from NCFE’s reputation among employers as a leading provider in vocational qualifications.

Qualification Specification

From 1st September 2017, these qualifications will have new NCFE branded Qualification Specifications which you will be able to access from the NCFE website.

Quality Assurance

You will be allocated a new NCFE External Quality Assurer (EQA) when this qualification transitions in September 2017.

Your new NCFE EQA will review exactly the same things as your current CACHE EQA but, instead of carrying out one visit covering all CACHE provision, they will complete qualification-specific external quality assurance visits.

Approval

If you are approved to deliver any of these qualifications, you will continue to be approved to deliver them once they transition to NCFE's portfolio in September 2017.
