Liz Tulloch, Early Years Lecturer at Bodmin College, said: “CACHE qualifications are ideally suited to our learners and centre requirements, the qualifications are robust and provide innovative opportunities that meet the needs of all learners.

“The CACHE Level 2 Certificate in an Introduction to Childcare and Education provides strong foundations and allows learners to achieve a qualification within a year, or alternatively build upon their underpinning knowledge and progress to the Level 3 qualification with huge success.

One learner studying this qualification commented: “The course has reaffirmed my self-belief, not only in my ability to achieve success, but in my aspiration to progress to university and become a primary school teacher. This aspiration was almost inconceivable when I was in year 11, but because I was able to study something I was passionate about, I’m no longer a ‘non-attender’ but a learner who has direction and aspiration.”

Liz added: “The assessment methods of this qualification suit all learners and encourage creativity and imagination which further enhances the learner’s knowledge when they undertake their placement. The placement adds a whole new dimension to learning experiences and challenges learners to become competent professionals.

“The CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education allows the learner to embrace the rigor of their studies which requires an in-depth knowledge and understanding of early years development, learning and play. Both qualifications meet the academic requisites of all learners who are striving to progress to higher education, equally they satisfy the requirements of those who aspire to become childcare assistants.”

A learner studying the Level 3 Diploma commented: “I knew this was the right course for me as soon as I started. I was inspired so much and was able to transfer my understanding through the practical element of my course. The balance of both theory and practical works hand in hand and makes my learning rich and meaningful.

“When I attended a number of university open days I felt so well prepared after studying the CACHE qualification, compared to learners who had completed A Levels. I was confident in speaking about the Early Years Foundation Stage, educators and theorists. I strongly recommend CACHE Early Years Educator qualifications to any potential learners who aspire to become nursery or primary school teachers.”

Liz added: “Often learners embark on their studies with little self-belief but their realisation and achievement of this course enhances their self-efficacy that they are worthy of such a qualification.

“I highly recommend CACHE qualifications due to the multiple open-ended opportunities they provide. The support from CACHE is excellent, the knowledge of the assessment team and subject specialists is exemplary and the support we receive from our External Quality Assurer is unwavering”

Janet King, Senior Subject Specialist Childcare at CACHE, added: “It’s wonderful to hear about the difference CACHE qualifications can make to a learner’s journey. Bodmin College continues to inspire learners studying Early Years qualifications. Liz Tulloch works with passion and commitment to raise aspiration and promote individual success.”
