Professional Development
Level 3
CACHE Level 3 Professional Development qualifications are aimed at childcare and education workers who wish to extend and develop their professional knowledge and expertise. Candidates will already have an Early Years qualification and appropriate practical experience.
These qualifications are useful preparation for candidates wishing to progress to a Level 4 qualification or a foundation degree.
CACHE Level 3 Certificate of Professional Development in Work with Children and Young People (CPD-L3) CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Promoting Children's Social and Emotional Development (CPCSED-L3)
Level 4
The CACHE Level 4 Certificate is aimed at qualified practitioners who have already gained an appropriate Level 3 qualification, for instance:
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education (DCE-L3) CACHE Level 3 Certificate of Professional Development in Work with Children and Young People (CPD-L3)
Candidates will need to be employed, or working as a volunteer. They may already have responsibility for preparing their setting for accredited quality assurance or statutory inspections, or are looking to progress into this area of work.
The qualification provides professional development in quality assurance practices. It will enable candidates to establish, improve and maintain quality standards in children's services. It also provides candidates with the opportunity to analyse their own training needs and those of their organisation, and to develop appropriate training programmes.
The qualification will provide the underpinning knowledge of management and supervisory roles within the setting.
CACHE Level 4 Certificate in Managing Quality Standards in Children's Services (CMQSCS-L4)
Assessor and Verifier Awards (A & V)
Assessor and Verifier Awards are aimed at qualified practitioners in Early Years, Playwork, Care or Education who want to assess or verify candidates working towards National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs).
There are no formal entry requirements, but candidates will need to be working at, or above, the level of qualification they are assessing. They must also have a minimum of three years post-qualifying experience.
