Who is the qualification aimed at?
It has been designed for playwork practitioners who work or wish to work in an early years and childcare settings.
What are the entry requirements?
Learners must be at least 16 years of age and hold a Level 3 Playwork qualification that appears on the National Qualification Framework.
What does the qualification cover?
It focuses on the critical differences between the knowledge and skills of learners who already have a Level 3 qualification in playwork and the National Occupational Standard for Early Years Care and Development.
What age range of is covered?
Birth to 4 years.
How is it assessed?
One externally marked assignment and one internally marked assignment.
Are practical placements required?
No.
How long does the qualification take to complete?
60 guided learning hours.

Early Years Practitioner in a Children's Centre. Creche Practitioner.
