Assistant Playworkers

Playworkers look after children aged 4 - 16 in breakfast clubs, after-school clubs or holiday play schemes. This is a supervised role with an expectation that Assistant Playworkers assist the Playworker in planning appropriate activities for the age range of children involved.

Recommended qualifications:

CACHE NVQ Level 2 in Playwork (NVQP-L2)
CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Playwork (CPW-L2)

Playworkers

Playworkers supervise play sessions for children aged 4 – 16 in breakfast clubs, after-school clubs or holiday play schemes. The role involves planning for play provision and knowledge of the individual needs of children and how to support them in their play choices.

Recommended qualifications:

CACHE Level 3 Award/Certificate/Diploma in Playwork (AP/CP/DP-L3)

Or where the role involves management or other responsibilities:

CACHE NVQ Level 4 in Children's Care, Learning and Development (NVQCCLD-L4)
