Assessor and Verifier Awards (A&V)

Who is it for?

Those who want to assess, internally verify or externally verify candidates who are working towards National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs)

What entry qualifications do you need?

There are no formal entry requirements. However, you will be a qualified practitioner in early years, playwork, care or education at the Level, or above, of the award you are assessing/verifying. You will be at least 18 years of age and preferably have at least 3 years post-qualifying experience

What will you learn?

How will you be assessed?

You will need to provide evidence of your performance and knowledge for your assessor to judge. Your assessor will directly observe work based material, or your performance in the workplace as well as other sources of evidence. Your knowledge and understanding of the award should be integrated with the assessment of your performance wherever possible

How long do I have to complete the award?

A1 and A2 - within 18 months of commencing your role as an Assessor

V1 - within 18 months of commencing your role as an Internal Verifier
