Who is the qualification aimed at?
People who wish to work as assistants in pre-schools, playgrounds or nurseries.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no formal entry requirements but learners must be at least 16 years of age.
What does the qualification cover?
How to assist in pre-schools and playgroups and help support children's care, learning and development needs.
What age range is covered?
Birth to 5 years.
How is it Assessed?
By four written assignments.
Are practical placements required?
Learners will need to complete 150 hours working under supervision.
How long does the qualification take to complete?
360 hours. This include 180 hours in supervised study, 30 hours in self directed learning plus the practical placements hours.
