CACHE Foundation Award in Caring for Children 
What does the qualification cover?This qualification develops the basic knowledge needed when caring for children.
Who are they suitable for?Anyone who is likely to become a parent or wants to know about working with children.

What are the entry requirements?You will need to be at least 14 years old. CACHE does not set any other entry requirements but colleges and training providers may have their own guidelines. How will it be assessed?It will be assessed by your tutor and CACHE by a multiple choice question paper and a task. Do you need to be working to take the qualification?You may need to spend time on a practical placement. How long does it take to complete?You can usually complete it in a year. - Level 2 Diploma for Children's Care, Learning and Development (Wales and Northern Ireland) (QCF)

Which type of job roles can you apply for on completion?It does not qualify you to work but it does support you in preparing for your "next steps" either in training or moving towards work.
