Level 3 handbook v5 amendments

CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

  • Pages vii, 49, 51, 55, 56 and 57 - There is an error on the Unit 2 title. It used to read 'Effective communication within a safe environment'. This has now been corrected to read 'Effective communication within a safe school environment'

  • Unit 2 - Assessment for this unit has been changed from external to internal. Any mention of external assessment has been updated to reflect this

CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

  • Page vii and 47 - Level 2 unit titles were incorrectly printed in the last version instead of the correct Level 3 titles. 'Teaching and Learning in Schools' and 'Effective communication within a safe school environment' have therefore been replaced by 'The role of the teaching assistant' and 'Key issues in working in schools'.
  • Pages 3 and 33 -The letter 's' was missing from the Unit 2 title. 'Key issues in working in school' now reads 'Key issues in working in schools'.

  • Unit 2 - Assessment for this unit has been changed from external to internal. Any mention of external assessment has been updated to reflect this

CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Children's Care, Learning and Development

  • Page 3 - Paragraph on entry requirements states that candidates need to be at least 14 years old as opposed to previously stating they need to be 16 years old
  • Page 25 (old handbook) and page 26 (new handbook) - The statement on assignment word limits under the heading 'Internal Assessment Procedures' on page 25 was previously unclear and has now been replaced by a new paragraph on page 26 entitled 'Word Limits for Unit Assignments’.
