What does the qualification cover?

This qualification fills the gaps between the knowledge and skills of people who already hold a Level 3 qualification in playwork and the National Occupational Standards for Children’s Care, Learning and Development.

Who is it suitable for? 

Qualified playworkers who work or wish to work in an early years and childcare settings.

What are the entry requirements?

You will need to be least 16 years old and hold a Level 3 Playwork qualification that appears on the National Qualifications Framework.

How is it assessed?

It will be assessed by your tutor and CACHE by written assignments.

Do you need to be working to take this qualification?
No but you will need access to an early years setting in order to undertake observations required in your assessments.


How long does it take to complete?

You can usually complete it in a 6 months or less.
