Level 3 Award in ICT in Early years

We are delighted to announce that the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in ICT in Early Years qualification (QRN: 603/0994/5) is now launched and ready for registrations, as of 1st March 2017.


This qualification provides learners with the knowledge and skills to be able to integrate the use of ICT in Early Years learning.


The new qualification has:


 - Credits: 9

 - TQT: 86

 - GL: 47


In order to achieve the Level 3 Award in ICT in Early Years, learners must achieve two mandatory units.


Entry Requirements

Learners must be at least 16 years of age. We do not set any other entry requirements, but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines.



This qualification would contribute and support progression to the workplace in job roles such as nursery nurse. The learner can undertake a higher level qualification or they can apply to join a degree programme in a relevant study area.


This qualification will support career opportunities and to professional develop the learner within these job roles:

 - practitioner in day nurseries

 - practitioner in nursery schools

 - practitioner in reception classes in primary schools

 - pre-school worker.​
