Who is the qualification aimed at?
Playworkers who may be new to the profession and who work largely under supervision.
What are the entry requirements?
Learners must be at least 16 years of age.
What does the qualification cover?
Practical, work-related tasks to demonstrate competence based on the National Occupational Standards for Playwork at Level 2.
What age range is covered?
4 to 16 years.
How is it Assessed?
Direct observation within the workplace combined with a portfolio of additional evidence such as professional discussions and witness testimonies.
Are practical placements required?
Learners must already be employed or volunteering in a playwork setting for the whole period of the qualification.
How long will it take to complete?
There are no set number of hours as it depends on the learner's ability to gather and log the required evidence.
